Manufacturing / R&D

Our manufacturing process starts by processing the raw coconut husks. Unlike many of our competitors, we rely mainly on our own production. Consequently, we have greater control over the quality of our basic raw materials. This indeed helps us supply better quality products to our clients. We procure the coconut husk collected from the nearby plantations. After that, our Coco Husk processing unit converts the coconut husk into Coconut Fibre and Coco Peat. We use the coconut fibre to manufacture the erosion control products and garden articles. Likewise, we wash the raw Coco Peat and then sun-dry it in our concreted dry-yards. Our advanced screening system process the dried coco peat. Special machines installed in the screening line separates any stone and sand from the dried coco peat. After that, the coco peat is then compacted to produce a multitude of Coco Peat substrates.
The Coco Peat Manufacturing is a multi-stage process with strict quality checking before they are shipped to our customers.

 

Step 1: Collect Coco Peat

We procure premium-grade coconut fibers from superior quality trees in India.

Our premium coconut fibers are carefully sourced from the finest coconut palms in India

Step 2: Coconut Husk Processing:

coconut husks are processed at our Coconut Fibre Mills to extract coir fibre, leaving behind the byproduct – a spongy material that binds the coconut fibre in the husk – the coco coir or the coco peat, the main raw material for the Coco Coir based Growing Medium

Step 3: Washing of Raw Coco Peat.

  Coir Pith is washed with fresh water to lower the electrical conductivity which is     

  measure of the salt content, so that plants roots can absorb water efficiently

Step 4: Drying of Washed Coco Peat:

  Wet Coir pith are then sun-dried in concrete yards to reduce the moisture content to the right value so as to achieve the required compaction

Step 5: Sorting

 Dried Coir Pith are sorted based on their electrical conductivity and moisture level. On the international trade market, people tend to choose their preferred Coir pith based on three optimal quality metrics, namely EC (Electrical conductivity), Sand content, and Expansion volume.

Thanks to our experienced shipping department we ensure appropriate chemical treatments are done for each destination port accordingly.

Track and Traceability process allows each pallet and bag to be traced to the exact manufacturing date so we can verify its quality measures of EC and expansion after it has reached the customer to find the root cause of any issue in case it arises
